Was the best bye week ever.

No bad taste in my mouth from another Arkansas loss. So many upsets. I watched football from 11am to after 1am. Was a complete lazy autumn day, but those are the ones I enjoy and hustle my arse off in the spring and summer to be able to chill out in the fall and enjoy some college football and relax a little bit and let my football knowledge pay me instead of working.

Bama going down, LSU getting humiliated, A&M getting humbled again, Oklahoma getting manhandled, FSU was in trouble for a quarter, UCLA couldn't make a FG despite getting PAC 12 ref dirty assistance the entire 2nd half, my adoptive school if I were to choose one Arizona St. driving a stake in USC's heart with a hail mary, Leach screwing up a sure win by going for offensive records instead of helping his defense, the Florida comeback bringing Tenner fans to calling for Butch's job, and add Oregon shitting the bed on Thursday night. It all made for a great Saturday.

I have a good feeling about where our team is headed and with all the other fanbases melting hard with the up and downs their teams are having it's a nice spot to be in knowing that we're going to bring some teams to their knees soon. We're not quite there yet, but it's coming and I'm content.

I would've preferred we don't get them off a loss. Saban rarely loses twice in a row. Their team is immature though so maybe we can be more disciplined. It'll be tough.

Yesterday was a stress free enjoyable day of some really good game watching.

Bama? Ehhh. I wanted them to beat miss bc we all know saban isn't losing 2 in a row. It is what it is though and hey... they ARE beatable. Can we beat them? I'm hoping

Today on the other hand, my ff team is starting off like shite.

Yesterday I handed the wife the plastic at 10:30 a.m. and told her to have fun shopping and proceeded to do absolutely nothing but soak in the excitement of the day.

Yesterday sucked! All I could think about was how all these teams were jumping up and biting historical giants and we were setting on the sidelines yet to get an SEC win. There was magic in the air yesterday and our hogs missed it. Would have loved to have gotten in on some of that upset Saturday action. We were off by a week 8(

Yeah, I'm sure Saban will have their attention this week, and they may be a little pissed off. I'd rather had them coming in off a win, but it is what it is.
Our guys also had the benefit of seeing that Bama is not TOTALLY invincible.
Not thinking we are going to win, but thinking we COULD pull an upset.

After the first loss, Saban's Record:

2013: 0-1

2012: 1-0

2011: 1-0

2010: 3-0

2009: 0-0

2008: 0-1

2007: 0-2 (4 game losing streak until the bowl)

So, when Alabama loses one game, they're 5-4 in the next game.

Agreed. Not like our players were going to be like the Little Giants and prepping for obliteration in the locker room before the game, but I'm optimistic that the Ole Miss game planted some seeds in our players' heads about how these dudes aren't the '85 Bears.

Petrino even said after the '09 and '11 games that our guys were intimidated, which is ridiculous considering it's the head coach's job to have these guys focused on their jobs.

You edited.

You went from 10 to 8.5. As it so happens, the line at 5dimes is +9.5 for the Hogs.

Nope, I'm saying you were closer to the line at first guess. Don't second guess yourself. Ever.

At least we won't have to worry about officiating.

If I wasn't a betting man, I would feel much better

got killed by the bama and OU losses. SCarolina was the icing on the cake to losing quite a bit Saturday.

I think our chances of beating bama are around 25%. We don't have a kicker and that could very well be the difference in this game at home.
