I heard on local BTR Sports Talk radio after the LSU / MSU game that LSU had been recruiting Dak...then "something" occurred during his recruitment to LSU that steered him away from playing in Baton Rouge..

what was that something?

he couldn't pitch to the rb with enough accuracy for the toss dive to work.

I think it's because he wanted to play QB and LSU wanted to use him as a utility type offensive player or defensive back.

Crowton didn't want him...LSU fires crouton. LSU then wants Prescott and offers, Dak and mom decide to honor the school who wanted him the entire time.

I heard that the QB coach that was recruiting him left and the new coach wanted Stephen Rivers instead. Hindsight is a bitch ain't it?

When being recruited, Miles referred to him as "big running linebacker type....not a thrower". Then during his senior season, miles noticed he could throw. And it was too late. Miles recruited his mom and State recruited Dak. These are the facts of the case

We already had Mettenberger and Rivers at that point. We offered but State told him they wouldn't recruit anyone else to prove how much they wanted him.. Stuck to his word with them, nothing really to be sour about.

Miles is an idiot when it comes to QBs. Look how many quit the team just in the past year alone.

mettenberger was our big QB get that year. plus, consider he'd be running les miles' offense.
