Oregon is 1-11 in the last 7 seasons when they score less than 30 points.

That is a crazy stat.
The one win was a 15-13 win over Cal in 2010.

I'm sure A&M has a similar stat under Sumlin. High-powered offenses get very flustered when they are punched in the mouth. And defenses get used to not having to make every stop.

Yeah but that's like 2 seasons vs. 7
It's clear they play no defense and are incapable of doing anything but playing a shootout.

True. I'm sure it's pretty much impossible to recruit defenders there. A little easier in the SEC.

0-4 when scoring 21 or less. 25-2 when scoring 22+

Alabama over that span time span (2008-present)
19-8 when scoring <30.
58-1 when scoring 30+ (Oklahoma was the only one).
So yeah, when Alabama has been held to under 30 during Saban's run, they still win 70% of the time.
Defense wins championships and that's why. If Oregon's offense has a bad game, they lose. If Alabama's offense struggles, they're still gonna win 70% of the time.

Bama is 58-1 when scoring more than 30? That's nuts.

Yeah since 2008.
As crazy at that is Auburn had a streak like 15 years long of winning when scoring over 30, the FSU title game.
Most teams are gonna have good win % when scoring over 30, the 70% win pct when scoring less than 30 is what separates Alabama from the likes of Oregon.

They've only had 12 games in the last seven years where they've scored less than 30? That's either amazing, or an indication that their schedule is basically shite every year.

Wonder what Baylor's is scoring less than 30.

That's a poop schedule if I ever saw one

So, scoring less than 30 points a total of 12 times in 7 seasons is the big nail in the coffin?
Idiots.
Idiots.

Oregon would finish near the bottom of the West.

That win over Cal in 2010 was a gift from the Golden Bear bed shitters. Cal had every opportunity to win that game and pissed it away as only they could.

Under 30?
A&M is 1-4.
But the one stat is this: 4 starting offensive linemen out due to injury.

What's better, scoring <30 12 times and going 1-11.
Or scoring less than <30 27 times and going 19-8.
