10 Years Later...Revisiting the 2004 Auburn/LSU Game

This was the 1st of 5 straight Classic Auburn/LSU games. It was the perfect over-the-hump game for Auburn. We had talent but kept coming up short in the big ones...
I knew that if we won this game, we'd go undefeated. This game is probably the best game I've ever been to in my life.
Here's to another classic

Win or lose, I expect a battle.

Auburn can thank boss bailey for your undefeated season. Without boss, that rule isn't created yet

I think we can thank our 3 1st rounders in the backfield over a UGA DB.

That was an awesome run, LSU won 2 NC's and Auburn should have won 1. I don't remember the 04 game, but the 05 game I remember laughing at Auburns kicker until, 06 don't get me started, 07 , and 08 that was the joy before the fall.

The game that single-handedly ruined Ronnie Prude's status among LSU fans

Is he the guy that got the PF on the extra point?

Jason Campbell killed us that day

LSU got fricked over in that game almost as bad as in '06

I remember Campbell converted a 4th and 12 late in the 4th. If LSU stopped that, LSU would have won.
Marcus Randall started off 4 for 4 and led LSU to their only TD in the 1st quarter (Extra point was missed). Then Saban benched him and put Russell in.
Still ticked about that damn flag on LSU on the extra point that Auburn missed. How many times has that ever been called?? I've never seen it called before and I haven't seen it called since. It was a great game though. 2 great defenses with power running games. Line up, and play man to man. Before all of the 'hurry up run a play before the defense is ready' offense we see so much now.

Didn't one of our corners also drop a certain pick-6 early in the game, or am I thinking of another game.
I know '04 had a couple of weird calls, but nothing like '06.

Oh yeah I think that was Prude. Nothing but green in front of him, and dropped the ball.
