I have the option of staying in Kauai for another year or going to Islamorada, Marathon, or Ft. Myers. I have a 3 month old and would like to be closer to the family so they can be in his life and vice versa but I got the best job I have ever had right now. The thing is, if I dont take one of the Florida gigs now they wont be there when I transfer in 2016. Just looking for peoples opinions on this that are not in the coast guard. I can also go to Patrick AFB but it is a terrible job and way more stressful, I have about 95% ruled that idea out.

1. Emotional stability. 2. Financial stability.

That's how I've always viewed working. If the job is too stressful (I'm prior Navy if this helps any) it'll affect you negatively.

You're not going to suffer too much financially but I would definitely do what's best for your mental strength. If you have a job lined up closer to home -- take it.

My ma's been doing Physical Security in Georgia and can't get a job anywhere in Florida without a cut to her grade.

Do you, honey, do you.

Go fishing in the Keys...you got key deer, Robbies Marina and feeding the tarpon by hand and Heminway in Key West and of course Duval Crawl.
