Bama/Ole Miss

What’s Going To Happen: Ole Miss will come out roaring with a few big plays and even a decent first half lead, and then the Crimson Tide running game will take over. With QB Blake Sims nursing a shoulder injury, he’s going to play, but he won’t be the main focus of the attack. The Bama D will come up with three second half takeaways, Sims will be efficient, Alabama will win, Alabama will get on the bus, and then Alabama will go play someone else’s biggest game of the year.

Prediction: Alabama 45 … Ole Miss 31

quote:

What’s Going To Happen: Prescott and Hill are going to put on a show. The two will make this a shootout from the start, with each offense doing a little of everything right. A&M will run well, MSU will throw great, and it’ll come down to the fourth quarter where Prescott will march the team to a game-winning drive in the final moments, and the D will hang on for one last gasp Hill attempt as he adds on to his 300-yard day.

Prediction: Mississippi State 45 … Texas A&M 41

quote:

What’s Going To Happen: Welcome to the 16th Annual Not-Funny Groaner guaranteed 100% lock of the year: the Tigers will win.

LSU will play far better than it did against MSU. The power of Leonard Fournette and the rest backfield will keep the game under control, but Auburn will have a bit more on offense. It won’t just be the running game; Nick Marshall and the passing attack will unleash the big, talented receivers on the LSU secondary to balance things out just enough to take control early and hang in when Harris comes up with a few outstanding scoring drives.

Prediction: Auburn 38 … LSU 27

Don't see anyone scoring 45 points on the Landshark defense this season.

Those scores are pretty high for the OM game. That Rebel D is legit.

Yeah...all three of these games seem a bit high scoring.

I'm going to be embarrassed if OM breaks 30 on us.

Agree with that. Ole Miss defense is legit.

14 of the 45 are coming from the Alabama defense and/or special teams.

45 points on aTm's defense?

Seems about right.

I knew that Mississippi State would be solid this year, and honestly I marked it down as a loss before the season started, but now that we are here, I won't accept this happening.

This is only thing I think is totally wrong. There is no Offensive coordinator who cares less about the human element of his strategy than Lane Kiffin.

No kidding. Unless they magically improve their run game and OL performance, I find it unlikely (as is Bama putting up 45, for that matter).

For frick's sake, they were up 7-3 against Memphis going into the 4th quarter.

27-16 good guys

Uh...Doug Nussmeier would like to have a word with you.

Also, I very seriously doubt that Sims injury is very significant, Saban is just slow-playing Freeze.

If Kiffin had called the play the mich QB had to go back in for, it would have been a pass.
