Do you think if the playoff committee came out and officially stated "no data regarding games against non FBS teams will be considered." Teams would stop scheduling them?

How do we petition the committee to do this. grassroots with me here.

If your desire is to rid the scheduling of FCS teams, I suggest you stop buying tickets. No money, no problems.

I doubt seriously that the committee takes beat-downs of FCS schools into consideration anyway. There may not be a written rule that says they can't, but they don't. They'll only look at conference performance and premiere OOC matchups.

Some FCS teams are probably better than most Sun belt and Conf USA teams

You think anyone wants to schedule NDakota St Bison last year

All things considered equal, I can't see a SEC champion being left out because they scheduled FCS
but I can see a 2nd SEC team left out because of scheduling but not necessarily because of FCS, it would be because they might miss the best teams on the other side of the conference because SEC is too stupid to get rid of permanent opponents

Until a SEC team is left out because of it, SEC won't change.
At some point I think SEC goes to that 9 game schedule and will have to because of TV partners and because of SOS

Well Baylor schedules an FCS team every year too, I'm not trying to bash any SEC teams.

I think not counting win or lose could have that interesting side effect, inspiring more teams to play the few good FCS teams to test their metal early if they want.

But I think schools would stop scheduling FCS altogether if the win didn't count as well as the individual/team stats were not being included in the season totals.

I don't want teams to be punished for playing FCS, I want them to not play FCS.

The Committee hired SportsSource Analytics to compile their data and statistics on all 128 FBS teams. The data will assist the committee when choosing the four teams that participate in the playoffs.
