If our receivers have a big day Saturday against Candy

Will everyone calm down a little bit?
Or will everyone still be worried because it was just Candy?
I will feel better personally, to see our best guys back and to see them do well...

Only a blowout in our favor for the remaining games in the schedule will calm folks down and even then, it will only last 2-3 days.

I will feel a little better if we can show some form of life in the passing game Saturday.
First play from scrimmage should be play action to Gurley and then burn them on a Go Route to MM.

If Mason can go through his progressions without getting all jittery, throw the ball with some zip behind it while showing good technique, then I'll feel better. I don't care if he throws for 500 yards against Vandy, if he's still floating it out there then that will spell a lot of trouble against teams like Florida, Auburn, and basically anyone with a pulse at DB.

No because Vandy's pass D is awful.

So "Candy" wasn't a typo? That is so fricking lame.

For me, it will depend on what actually happens.
If the receivers bail Mason out all game due to great catches on really bad throws, it won't make me feel any better because it will just be a matter of time before betters teams start owning us in the turnover game.
If they get great separation and Mason makes good throws, I'll feel a lot better.

Very well said.

Who knows? Maybe this game will give HM the breakout passing day he needs to get his mojo working. Having MM26 and JSW back on the field certainly won't hurt. This couldn't come at a better time, since most folks have known that they'd have to gameplan against Gurley anyway. The fact that we've been painfully one-dimensional for the first 4 games hasn't helped.

Yep. But, Mason just plain sucks and the MM and JSW band aid won't stop the bleeding by any means.

Agree with y'all, it's more in how Mason does it than what the stats show at the end (assuming the stats are good).

Gosh, I am so sorry that my humble attempt at a humorous pun did not pass muster with you.
or not...

From what I have seen, if we had beaten everyone as badly as we did Clemson, we would still have pansy worried fans. Very little positive vibes put forth on this board.
As I stated before, I think we have a reasonable chance of winning out.
Now, naysayers....jump in.
Go Dawgs!!

With the new playoff formula, we don't have to blow everyone out. It would be nice to obliterate the teams who are far less talented on the schedule (i.e. Missouri) but a 12-1 SEC champion gets in regardless, unless by some fluke there are four unbeatens from big conferences. Survive and advance, kinda like the NCAA tournament.

First play - 5 WR set, rollout and pitch to Gurley with Hicks blocking.

So have three lineman?

I think 3 WRs would be good enough
