Finally listening to the Wrath of Khan series by Dan Carlin and his Hardcore History podcast.
Genghis Khan's generals and scout armies wiped so many muslim city states off the map.
Wish they would've went a further on into Saudi Arabia and fricked that whole religion down a hole to have never escaped.

They pretty much ended the golden age of Islam and set Mesopotamia back a few centuries. Europe and the Middle East were at pretty much equal footings before the Mongols but Khan changed everything. Hell, we'd probably be speaking Mongol if his son hadn't died mid way through their invasion of Europe.

Mongols some of the unfriendliest people I've ever come across in my life. They have weird shaped heads too.

You're entirely missing the point as to how the Mongolians jump started innovation in the west.
They were the biggest conduit of knowledge that the world had ever seen.
The Mongolians were extremely pragmatic people and made sure the scholars and learned people... Anyone that could contribute to Mongolian dominance were absorbed into the army.
Europeans became aware of things like gunpowder, medical techniques, movable type, compasses.
And they were the indirect cause of the Black Death, which although devastating also led to the rise of the middle class due to the low supply of labor and wages that increased to meet the increased bargaining power of the peasants. After the Black Death the merchant class became rich and the ranks of landed gentry swelled where previously there was a much more stratified society.
Not bad for a group of nomads whose leader was at one point a slave.

At KS gamecock, perhaps but I think they may have gotten bogged down too much in heavily forested and mountainous areas.
The Mongols relied heavily on mobile mounted archers (Keshiks) and while allowing them to travel blazingly fast as an army through plains that advantage would be negated in Germany.
However the Mongols were good at siege warfare and psychological tactics, using cruelty and ad hoc siege equipment effectively and hastily assembled.
I doubt they could straight up fight with armored Knights. They did win against Europeans in Poland, but only after baiting them feigning retreat for 8 days and picking them apart mercilessly. I doubt other countries would make the same mistake.

Sorry, haha, it's just that the Mongols are one of my most favorite historical topics. I get long winded.

It's cool man, everyone has their favorite topics and you clearly are knowledgeable about the Mongols.

I admire their rules of warfare. They had none.

They tried to be nice after conquering the Jin (Jurched). As soon as they left, they rebelled. No more mr. Nice Khan.
Genghis only invaded the Khwarezmids, because they killed his messengers and shamed them. Instead of trading, they started conquest and got revenge.
Dumbass Sultan ruined it for everyone else.

Hey, if you're gonna fight a war, fight a war. Don't try to win hearts and minds. That shite don't work.

The part where they built the bridge on top of the still alive Russian soldiers, and had lunch on the bridge as the Russians were slowly crushed/suffocated was some pretty evil shite.

the muslims in the Arabian peninsula were Bedouins. The the country is named Saudi Arabia only because they eventually named one king whose last name was Saud.
Main point is there wasnt a central government or population to attack. just a fricking lot of sand, camels and tents over 1000s of miles of desert.
Pretty much a dry hole if you wanted riches or other wealth, which is what the Mongols wanted.

Would the Mongols take in graphic artists into their army? I saw a commercial where the U.S. Army was taking in graphic artists. Outstanding.

In modern times, it is the only way you can win a war and maintain a healthy, conscious society.
