I'd rather see M. Mitchell on defense

Probably goes against most of the sentiment here, but Georgia's defensive backfield is a leaky ship.
Georgia desperately needs more athletes on that side of the ball.
J.S. Wesley should be enough of a deep threat to open up the offense a little more.

Have we learned nothing from Richard Samuel?

I wish he'd stayed there IMO.
He balled out against Mizzou as a DB in '12. But he also that the TD against Florida....
I just want him on the field.

We need him on offense. He's the only receiver we have that's shown the athletic capacity to get separation from a top-flight corner.
He brings an explosive element that even JSW doesn't.
He also doesn't know the defense, so there's that.

If I remember correctly, Mitchell did move to defense for a time and then back to offense. I can only conclude that he didn't work out playing the Secondary or the coaches decided that we needed him more on offense.

I'm not suggesting a move. I'm glad he's playing WR, and I'm pumped he's back.

As if we needed another reason, you've just solidifed that nothing you say should ever be taken seriously.
This isn't a video game, you can't just switch someone to another position and expect them to master it instantly.

It was for like 3 games and it was out of absolute necessity. And he did alright, not stellar by any means. When we got healthy again he moved to WR.
Our secondary isn't going to magically ball out by switching mitchell there, just like it didnt' by moving Tramel there and our WR core didn't by moving Langley there

MM = Offense. Period.
See UF game.
And I just spend 10 minutes watching the GIF above in super slow mo and still don't know what it means.

Or any other game he's played WR and done very well in. But nah, the 3 games he played at DB should trump that becuase in high school he played both ways

Can you elaborate? I don't see athleticism as our problem at cornerback. What have you seen that would suggest that?

Or we could also have MM there and help Mason out even more.

Um, it kinda is.

Wouldn't help him out with those lame ducks.

While I agree that the idea of moving Mitchell to CB is not a good one, we do have an athleticism problem at CB (and safety and ILB)

Ok, give examples. Tell me missed plays we've had as a result of our cornerbacks not being athletic enough.

Devin Bowman and Aaron Davis (who's actually doing pretty good but is an athletic mismatch against SEC WRs)

Would a guy who hasn't played football in 2 years, and hasn't practiced cornerback even longer, and just started running on the groud a few weeks ago...be better?

I've already expressed my opposition to putting Mitchell on defense. Just pointing out that we do have a problem in the secondary.

Well yeah it needs work for sure. I'm just saying Malcolm Isn't the answer.
