Does Anyone Really Give LSU a Chance? How Big of an Upset Would it Be?

Let's be honest. All homerism aside. Does the SECr think that LSU has even a chance of winning this game?

What would have to happen for LSU to win?

I think that they do. Anything can happen. But, it would be a big upset not because LSU isn't talented, but because they are missing pieces right where Auburn has their strengths. Stopping the run. A true freshman QB. Poor OLine play.

LSU wins if they can figure out a way to stop the run and if Brandon Harris is special and elevates the play of LSU's offense significantly.

LSU loses if their run defense looks like it has and Harris gets overwhelmed.

This LSU team cannot grind out victories from line play like they used to be able to. They have to do something different. We'll see.

It can happen. But, I would not bet on it.

Sure...it wouldn't even be a huge upset. LSU always has great players.

I kind of like how it's shaping up. The defense is still a huge concern but I actually feel like we'll be able to score if a shootout breaks out.

They are single digit dogs on the road . Yeah, there's a chance.

It would be like Indiana beating Mizzou at Mizzou.

Of course LSU has a chance why wouldn't they? In no way would it be a big upset? It would be a minor upset, but that's about it.

Honestly, I kind of like LSU in this game with their new QB. Should be a good game.

Honestly Auburn should win because I think its a good matchup as far as strengths and weaknesses of each team...... and because LSU will be starting a true freshman QB. However, I do think there's a chance LSU is provided a spark by the loss followed by change of QB.

tRant version - ya'll getting raped.

I think that's a poor gauge. It allows LSU fans to vote homerifically without outing themselves as a dumbass. And obviously this board has many more LSU visitors than any other team

ETA but of course LSU has a chance and it wouldn't be considered a huge upset

I probably wouldn't even consider it an upset. It's Auburn-LSU which means it will probably be a good game.

Crazier things have certainly happened! But, I think most on here know its never smart to count us out...especially with a new QB that seems to have given our O the spark it has desperately needed. That said, AU still wins imo....the crowd will play a huge factor a think. They want this one baaaaaad.

This is actually helpful. Happy to see honest discussion.

I do think that it would be an upset just because Auburn is at home and LSU stopping the run is a mess right now. Plus, I have hope in Harris, but this will be a very different situation for him. No one has any idea how he will do.

Obviously, I hope that LSU wins. But, I also hope that it is at least a close, well played game.

Yeah, you'd actually have to read the thread to see if there are people besides LSU fans who think they have a chance.

My bad.

Single digit dog winning is hardly an upset.

Honestly, the spread is too big.

Jordan Hare Stadium is the loudest, roughest, most passionate stadium in the SEC at this point.

The once great Tiger Stadium crowd is a shell of its former self. Sadly.
