Yep, remember your child's favorite teddy bear? You owe that to Mississippi.
In 1902, President Theodore Roosevelt was on a bear hunt in the Mississippi Delta. The landowner trapped a bear for the President to shoot, but Teddy refused. This led to the creation of the "teddy bear," adored by children ever since.
But what happened to that bear that wasn't shot. He morphed into Rebel Black Bear, and in the Landmass Uprising of October 4, 2014, Rebel Black Bear is going to tear into the Crimson Tide.
And Just like Wallace stood in the schoolhouse door to block the University of Alabama from integration, another Wallace is going to stand on the turf of Hollingsworth Field and block Alabama from an SEC title.
Landmass Uprising.

Its a series. To be honest, finding six "great moments" has been a stretch.

You are one weird individual.
Why? Because I like history? or because I'm a State grad that doesn't hate everything about Ole Miss and realizes that for State to have sustained success, Ole Miss is going to have to be good as well?

Did you just draw an analogy making a positive comparison between the University of Mississippi and the last segregationist?
You ARE aware that Governor Wallace's actions were a pointless display of political grandstanding and that the black students completed the registration process moments after Wallace finished his speech, with the active assistance of the commanding General of the Alabama National Guard (nominally under Wallace's command).
Just asking.

Very aware. Its fun banter for a big week in Mississippi. Don't take things so seriously.
