We were not a very good team the first 4 games of 2013 and were not playing very good teams either.

How did we do the last 4 games against the #1 and #2 defense in the country in fsu and bama?

And will only increase as the season goes on and the offense runs more smoothly.

We played better defenses over the same time and Gus and Nick were still figuring things out. The hope was we would pick up where we left off, more or less, not start over.

Having said that, it is nice to get 450 yards and 40+ points while the offense is "struggling."

To be fair after 4 games last year, we played 2 good SEC teams and a power five school in Washington State.

This is the most telling stat imo. I have been frustrated with our offense at times this season but looking at that you realize how spoiled we are. Do we need to get better? Absolutely but are we starting off in a much better place than last year? Absolutely

By end of October we will truly know how good this team is

I still think our run game has looked like shite the last two games and CAP and Grant are not the guys to get it done carrying the ball.
