Just saw that Hansborough is battling his own hip injury, which seems likely as to why he kept coming out of the game, rather than just exhaustion.

The 2 weeks off will be good for healing him up along with Hunt and White, who we pretty much have to have for any chance against UGA, along with getting Golden back to 100%.

Steward seems unlikely to play for at least several more games. As much as we like Murphy, he's just not a power back which we desperately need at times.

Still wondering if maybe Walters doesn't play some time this year.

Anyone else know of other injuries?

I keep hearing Steward could have been back for USC but staff preferred to wait until UGA due to the bye week.

Where did you hear Steward is still weeks away? A reliable source?

IF IF IF we could get Steward back and he's in game shape and he can be productive, it could be huge IMO. Get Murphy more reps at WR where we are sorely lacking and apparently no one else is going to step up.

Agree about having to get Hunt and White healthy for UGA.

Really need Hansborough, Hunt and White healthy.

If they are 100% and no other bad luck things transpire, I like our chances against UGA.

I don't see any importance at all in White or Hunt.

Sure they're decent, but they're plugs, easily replaced.

I for one would rather have guys like Lee, Brown, and Moore in the mix.

I wish the young guys would have been given a better chance to step up.

Don't know how we went through non-conf without getting those guys more reps. Why even redshirt them? Glad some of em got on the field vs Scar

I'm gonna be frustrated if Brown burns his red shirt and ends the year with 0 receptions.

seasons not half over, there's time, I agree, I had high hopes for Brown and it isn't like the opportunity for immediate success isn't there.

Give the kid a chance to catch some balls, I think he will.

I think this can be attributed to losing almost every WR who played meaningful mins. last year.

As well as having a new starting QB.

Seems like the coaches wanted the "big 3" out there most of the time in non-con.

FWIW, Brown had a likely big gainer/TD on Saturday, and MM overthrew him. That would have been nice to see.

Yikes, did you watch the SC game? White and Hunt being out contributed mightily to our offense bogging down. Sasser was getting the bulk of the attention, and those guys still couldn't get open. They also didn't block as well and one of the subs had a crucial PI penalty that stopped a drive.

Knowing that offensive movement is based on being in rhythm, it's possible that our missing starters contributed to Maty being out of sorts. Guys may not have been where he expected them to be.

The bottom line is that Lee, Brown and Moore all have talent, but they aren't ready to be starters or they would be already.

which is the main reason I think Mauk needs to concentrate on staying in the pocket more, when he rolls out because he can't see what's going on, he immediately winds up running for his life. If he holds up in the pocket he will eventually get that look down field most of the time.

Hope you're right. I would have thought the best chances would have come in the 4 OOC games, but if he wants to explode onto the scene against UGA, I'm all for it.

Those are some impressive powers of denial you have right there. The passing game was atrocious against South Carolina.

Is this supposed to be serious? We REALLY missed both of these guys. Hunt will be back, White won't. Steward is possible.

As of now I would guess:

Leftwich
Lee
Brown
Culkin

well TJ Moe completely disagreed with the importance of having veteran receivers,

Hunt will be back, White won't.

frac, hadn't heard White was that bad.

heres the latest from Morrison:

Pinkel says Hunt will be back "for sure, I think. White will "be right on that edge there." Morgan Steward is "doubtful."
