Remember this is what we've seen every game so far this season.

Let's chill and let this play out. It sucks knowing how close we were to doing what we always do against A&M, especially with their #6 ranking. It would have been the emphatic "we're back" statement.

There's some SEC coaches that are really nervous about playing this team guarantee ya that.

Personally, I think the feeling of let down occurred because it was A&M AND because we had it. We were "right there". For me, anyway.

Either way, we are so much better. SO much.

so, a Bama fan just said to me "You scare us, this will be a game that pregnant women and folks with heart problems need to stay away from"

I was hoping for a better defense & overall improvement. So far, they're living up to those expectations. I don't see the quit in this team like I've seen in the past 2 years. I still think we make it to 6-6 & get to a bowl. We're competitive this year, that's about all you can ask for.

Our team is physical has heck, and our defense has really come with it since the Auburn game. Anyone who watched us impose our will on Tech and A&M knows we're going to be a tough out no matter who the team is and where we play.

I ventured over to the Georgia board during our game and after their pillow fight with Tennessee -- they scare.

ETA -- Yep, they scare

Just finished watching the game again. Lots of positives, LB and DB play.

Clean up some bone head mistakes and we could make a bowl game.

You can bet that there are SEC coaches that are a bit worried about facing us.

The loss was a kick in the nuts.

For all the talk about team psyche, I wonder if a victory would have made the players think they've "arrived" and don't need to work anymore. We probably would have gotten cocky and UAB would be a trap game.

This is the perfect time for a bye week.

The only positive part of losing that game is that there will be some good tickets available for the Alabama game.

Yep -- it would have been tough on the coaches to get the team back up and focused on Alabama in the course of one week. The bye allows the coaches extra prep time and film study and the team to get their minds right, and hopefully they'll come in ready to go, refocused and angry as heck.

I think you win 2 or 3 out of the remaining 6 SEC games. Alabama and MSU are Arkansas' worst matchups due to the stout d-lines.

I think Auburn and A&M were our worst matchups actually.

Agreed. I think A&M was our worst matchup of the season because of their style and tempo on offense and depth on defense, plus the fact it was a neutral site game.

Call me crazy, but we match up much better with Bama than we have in 6 years. Plus, Lane Kiffin is calling their plays. Yes plz.

Also, I'm heartened by the fact that they have to play a jazzed up Ole Miss team with GameDay coming to Oxford and then turn around and play a pissed off, physical Hog team in Fayetteville coming off a bye. I like.

God what a horrible in conference schedule. Auburn, A&M, and Bama. But... we were good for a half with Auburn. Good for almost the whole ball game with A&M. A week to take a breath and... Bama.

If we make a bowl game this year no one can say we strolled in.
