Yes, I was a terrible fan in the Big 12, never even knew we had a football team tbh. Then I hear we're in the SEC, and I started to get all excited about the Equestrian match-ups. In 2012 while I was watching a great filly ride a superb stallion near our stables, a stablehand came up to a group of us. As he was serving the next round of Manhattans, one of the gang asked him if he was excited about the SEC's equestrian competition. He replied with something about rare red algae blooms and a Saber or maybe Rayban sunglasses (not sure, but he was a big fan), it was obviously difficult to understand him. But he mentioned 'footbawl' and so we decided to be good sports and look it up.

We were the best fan base in the country before joining the SEC, and I think we're even better now.

My passion for everything Mizzou is no greater, but there is definitely more interaction among fan bases in the SEC.

Well I have always been passionate about my Tigers, and am thrilled to be in a conference where if I cant make it to a game I can watch it on TV.

Before joining the SEC, I always thought football was soccer.

In all seriousness, I do enjoy the interaction among fans in the SEC. Could never happen in the Big XII.

Cheering for the conference - and I know there are exceptions - is also a new one. Enjoy that as well. Interestingly, I think our move also gave the Big XII conference pride. Seeing how pissed they were when Auburn escaped with a win v K State was a first.

My favorite thing, though, is probably the fact that when you play another team you are representing, in a way, your state. More fun than when 1/2 the conference is from Texas.

Oh, the exposure is also nice. Good lord you bastages - now we - have some serious media exposure.

I feel like a better all-around person.

But just by comparison.

I petitioned that all adult sized football jerseys be pulled from the shelves at the bookstore.

I know it's a start, but I feel better already.

I spent a lot of time just loathing all of the other big 12 fanbases and teams those last few years in the Big 12.

I spend less time loathing, and more time just appreciating the matchups and intrigue of the conference race.

So yeah. maybe

Actually less an all around fan. When we were in the Big 12 we had to know what was going on in the Big 12 and the SEC. But now it is just the SEC. Frack the Big 12-4&2= 10 !!!

See what I mean? Never knew y'all were this arrogant when we both were in limbo.
