I need to fly out Sunday morning after the game and can either do Columbus with the connection in ATL, or the direct from ATL. Regardless, I'll be driving to a hotel near the respective airport.

Would there be any benefit in heading to CSG over ATL?

I made the drive from Opelika to Hartsfield this summer, it took more than an hour without postgame traffic.

Drive faster.

I know. I was inquiring about post-game traffic. I-10/12 leaving BR after games can end up being 55-60 mph the whole way bc of volume. Didn't know if 85 north would be the same as I've always stayed in Auburn on Saturday night.

There is none on the highway. Best bet is try to park your car on the north side of town and you can take Opelika Highway...thre is rarely any traffic that direction. most take College an Wire.

It's so much more of a hassle to go to Columbus and then connect to ATL than just driving the extra 30-45 min to Hartsfield-Jackson.

Just drive up. I live north of the Atl airport and drive through there after every game. There are some hotels near the airport but if your looking for something a little closer and easier to navigate, Newnan is right off I85 and has some decent places to stay. Right on Hwy 34.

That is about a hour or so from Auburn and about 25 mins from the Atl airport

You could stay in Newnan, GA.

It is about an hour from Auburn (72 miles) once you get on I-85.
You will get to the hotel between 0015 and 0130 with postgame traffic.

The next morning will you have a 30 minute drive to the ATL airport.

Just stay in Auburn and take the shuttle to ATL. Drops you off right at your gate.

Don't listen to these guys. I got a super speeder ticket on this stretch of road with a lazer gun.

You can drive it, but budget 90 min +

Once on 85 the traffic won't be a problem. Getting to the highway can take awhile
