I got tired of reading about alters, so I decided to start a thread about football.

With all the concern we have with our secondary and our QB play, I took a look at our remaining schedule and found myself optimistic.

Automatic Wins - Vandy (they suck), UF (have to be able to throw to beat us), Kentucky (challenging but still an auto win), Charlston So (patsy) and GT (glad it's not GSU).

That leaves Missouri, Auburn and Arkansas. Of the three I think we can handle Missouri (even though they beat USC and we didn't). Arkansas is good, but they are run heavy (from what I have seen) which works to our favor, and Karma owes us for Auburn after that crap last year.

No more significant injuries and I still see us in the SEC Championship Game.

Go Dawgs!!

I wouldn't consider anything automatic based on what I've seen so far.

Only autowins I see on the rest of the schedule are Vandy, Charleston Southern, and GT. If we don't show up and play hard against Arkansas, Florida, or UK, we will lose. I think Mizzou and Auburn are tossups.

With all that being said, I'm thinking we will lose one more game this season but it wont be to Auburn or Florida. I think we'll lose to one of Mizzou, Arkansas, or UK

-vandy: bottom dwellers this year. Hopefully we can work on passing the ball.
-@mizz: They have are coming off two weeks of prep just like UT. Mauck looks like he can throw some really nice passes AND run. Not liking this at all
-@ark: Bama is there the week before. If they give Bama all they got and manage an upset then I could see them having a letdown game. If Bama comes in and steam rolls them... watch out. Fantastic running attack.
-bye week: thank goodness. hopefully no more injuries before then
-UF: I can't count UF out just by the way they played Bama. It will be a hell of a game I'm afraid.
-@UK: improved and a lot will depend on how the UF game went the week before. Hopefully won't look too much at the next opponent instead
-AU: All out war.
-charleston: Win
-GT: my only concern here is that it's pruitt's first time dealing with the TO.

Agree and we could easily lose 2 of those 8 games. My guess is we lose to Auburn and Arkansas.

I share OPs optimism

I am hearing it from a few places, we could be in trouble against Arky

bullshite, they are good enough to beat anybody - true. But only if games just lasted 30 minutes

they don't have the depth to hand for 4 full quarters, and we will pull away from them late in the game

UF has what Pruitt described as "the loser's limp" - yes they have the talent, but they do not have the mental edge, and WE are starting to get into THEIR heads like they did to us the prior 2 decades

AU is the biggest concern, but I think we wind up winning in Athens

The big question, can we outscore Bama?

i think we would be OK against any other west team.

We'll see...

The only auto-wins left on this schedule is VU and Charleston Southern.

Georgia could absolutely lose to Arkansas, UK, UF, AU, and or GT. Frankly they may split those.

They're 5-0. I'll meet you all at the bar in about 15 minutes and we can cry it out together.

How did they "play" Bama? 2 fumbles and an INT inside Bama territory led to all 3 scores by the Lizards. They had less than 100 yards pasing and only 107 yards rushing. If Flarder plays us like they played Bama, without the fumbles and INT, then we could beat them by 3 TDs. Another loss before the WLOCP and the players will know the coaches will be fired after the season and they will be beatn befoe they even take the field.
Flarder has no offense, and their vaunted defense is only average.
I worry about Mizzou and Auburn.

The only auto wins I see remaining are Charleston Southern and Vandy. GT probably falls in this category if Gurley is completely healthy.

For me, the remainder of the season comes down to two parts: pre-UF bye week and post-UF bye week. If we win v Vandy, @ Mizzou and @ Arky prior to the bye week, then we'll be in for a wild ride and have UF, @ UK, Charleston Southern, AU and GT left. Personally, I think we'll lose to either Mizzou or Arky and the season will get really interesting.

I felt kind of wrong calling Vandy an auto win. I personally think Georgia will come out flatter than a pancake, Mason will noodle arm another series, and Gurley will once again lead the team to a W that makes no one feel good about themselves.

But we should still go for the cry session. Although at this point apathy is setting in. Had a few buddies think something was wrong because i wasn't as mad this week as I have been previous years. I just said "dude, I told you this was what would happen"

It's surprises I hate

The problem with this is that our defense is much worse than Bama's imo.

missouri? I don't know, I'd call that a tossup. AU is the only game that I think we can honestly say as of right now is looking like a loss. Sure, we have the potential to lose every game other than CSU. But missouri ain't all that. They're getting major credit for beating a SC team that is pretty average and whose only good win was their annual SEC super bowl against us. This is the same missouri that lost at home to indiana.

I expect it to be tight, I expect them to give us all we want. But I wouldnt' call that a loss right now.

Vandy-If we don't get payback for that BS last year we have no heart or ballz.

Ark-best running offense we will play. See how solid our interior really is.

UF and AU games will be as always...battles with big plays and turnovers key.

Mizz- will be a battle of QB pressure versus Mauk chunking the ball downfield. We took one QB out last year need to do it again.

KY-like always plays with nothing to lose. We sleep on the. We can lose...but shouldn't.

Tech-Should help Gurley clinch Heisman.
