This will be my first time to the grove. We get in laaaate Thursday so we will have all day Friday to see and do things around Oxford.

Any suggestions? I'm sure the place will be a mad house beginning at about 12pm Friday.

I want to check out City Grocery. There is a concert at the lyric theatre on Friday.

Other than that no plans.

Give me and others advice.

Big Bad Breakfast
Boure
City Grocery

Will all be packed solid so go earlier as opposed to later. You can go to the bars but the covers will be outrageous.

Do you have reservations?

Not being a dick, just that it books up way ahead of time on SEC game weekends.

You might try Snackbar or Lamar Lounge. Both significantly more casual, but still Currence restaurants and better in my opinion.

Traffic.

Douchey tailgaters with plastic plates and a chandelier.

Drunk people.

Inflated egos from a school who's claim to fame is attracting interesting characters who write, but didn't go to Ole Miss.

Big Bad Breakfast has the slowest service. Frustrating because the food is good.

I'm still not sold on the biscuits. Everything else is lights out though.

That's my only complaint with it too. Ill add to RG's suggestions: Ajax is more casual but has a great menu. Meatloaf plus jalapeño cornbread

What are you looking for?

If you're looking for great food, try Ajax, Boure, etc.; or, if you can find a sober driver and don't mind waiting and BYOB, take a quick drive to the south to Taylor Grocery and get the world's greatest fried catfish.

The Library will likely have a $40 cover charge on Friday and the line will be out of the door. I'm a big fan of the Burgundy Room. Boure will be slammed as well since their balcony is tGOAT.

Don't forget to get tipsy and eat chicken on a stick.

If y'all don't want to wait too long, there is a great Thai restaurant on Jackson Avenue, Rice & Spice.

Always always always purchase your liquor from Kiamie's Package Store. They have, far and away, the lowest prices, the biggest selection, and the best staff. You may even get to meet tGOAT manager, Rufus.

I was gonna give y'all a comprehensive guide on tGump Board yesterday but no one approved me.

Id like a list of the bars that will be worth going to listed in numerical order from best to worst.

We are meeting up with Ole mIss people when We get there. But I anticipate a madhouse and I want to have options in case it gets difficult meeting up on Friday night.

A list of bars would be good. Tips on restaurants would be helpful too. Reservations needed etc.
