does this make it more likely Gurley wins the Heisman?

First of all - relax. We are a better team, a much better team, with a healthy Michel. He is a difference maker and I wish he was 100% healthy. That having been said ...

I doubt if Gurley gets his 208 against Tennessee if Michel stays healthy. Gurley would have had about 150 yards against Troy if Michel had not shown out.

Gurley gets a TON more yards every game Michel does not play.

Georgia needs Gurley more than ever without Michel. The media knows this and will play it big time. They already have.

Now, Chubb will get his carries and he is going to star. But without Michel, Gurley is forced to run more, will dominate more, and will have better stats.

Just trying to see the silver lining is all.

Do not know, and I hope it's not that serious and he's back as soon as possible. But it's not likely. Would not be surprised if we do not see him again this year - or at least not until the Florida game.

Auburn is in seven weeks. I hope Sony is healthy by then at least.

Yeah, we will need every weapon we've got at that point. That game is likely going to be beyond huge.

I knew once that safety came up and popped him that he'd be hurt. He didn't have enough time to dodge the guy's hit.

What's the story on A.J. Turman? Do he have the same situation as Rumph? I figured he would get some carries after a good spring.

THAT is an outstanding question. He would be valuable beyond words in the next month or so if he is healthy.

Didn't Turman have a bad hamstring injury or something? I was hoping to see him play in mop up duty.

I think you are likely correct but the reality cloud behind the silver lining is that Gurley gets tired pretty quickly from putting out so much effort. I see him not unlike Moreno who also had to have frequent breaks. And with Chubb's broken thumb (played with a cast on his hand vs UT) and Marshall still shell-shocked or something, suddenly we find ourselves without quality depth at RB.

There have been a couple threads about this already.

Jeez. People complain about me not seeing other threads.

Michel broke his shoulder bone. Will be out at least 5 weeks.

You are forgetting about white boy Brendan Douglas. He's pretty good, and I expect to see him get some quality snaps this week.

If we can manage no more injuries and get Michel back then I don't see why we can't use Gurley/Chubb/Douglas

And FFS finding a passing game would be nice.

Quite true and honestly I think he should get more playing time than Marshall who seems to have gone into a shell after his injury.

I wonder if Isaiah Mckenzie could see some carries with some of the recent injuries.
