When will we "learn how to win"?

Without having re-watched the game yet, I still feel like that is our biggest problem. We can break it down further, but in my opinion that's where most of the problems stem from, not knowing how/having the confidence to put a game away.

Once this thing breaks open I have a feeling it's going to be very bad news for opponents.

depth/young team

Once we can play fresh and disciplined for a whole game we should be a force to be reckoned with.

This.

During 2013, we were playing a ton of freshmen and underclassmen, but I kept using Holtz's old line about "yeah, we return a lot of experience, but it's bad experience." However, the way this defense and the young guys in the back seven are playing, they're getting some really good, foundational PT that will pay dividends down the road.

Let's not forget that we were getting stomped regularly in the middle of last season and were playing better near the end of the year. If we can build on this, the we'll be sitting pretty at the end of this season and progressing into next.

And BTW, for the first time in forever, our defense looks like an SEC defense physically.

It'll happen when we don't beat ourselves. I'm not sure many teams can beat us if we don't self destruct even now. It'll take great discipline, but really, the tripping was not necessary and the two bobbled snaps need to just never happen. Trying to break in a new center, while necessary, is probably the cause of that.

We do need just a bit more depth, but only recruiting classes can fix that.

We are so very close to being there right now. I suspect the staff will be able to convince the kids of that during the bye week.

I definitely take solace in the fact that Bert was pretty emphatic that though we beat ourselves, all of those mistakes are easily correctable.

We fix those errors, we'll be a tough out for every team we face.
