What are ya'lls thought on your run game and how it matches up with Alabama? How do you think Freeze will approach things schematically? I have to think he will try to find creative ways to get your little fast guys into space other than the read option.

If we win it will be because our passing game led us there. And if Bo goes through his progressions like he is supposed to and doesn't force throws, he is very dangerous especially with all of our weapons on offense.

So do you think the plan will be to let Bo sling it around 30-40 times?

I know it's a different scheme, but I have to think Freeze is going to try and spread out and get Treadwell and Core in 1-on-1 match ups like WVU did with White. Only problem is if your QB isn't making good throws those plays can go bad very quickly.

Should be interesting.

If he doesn't play like a frick up, yes. If he plays like he did against LSU last year then he will throw it a minimum of 35-40 times.

Our goal will be to run inside behind LT and LG about 2 out of every 3 downs... The left side of the Oline will try to set the edge and get Dodson's or Walton's shoulders square and up field cause that's where they're most effective.. Mathers will get most of the inside carries... Now that Laremy and Aaron Morris (both freshman AAs) are both healthy and on the field together we should find more success than we did last Oct... At least I would hope so... We shall see...

ETa: this will probably be the most honest/informative/nonflame response you get

We pretty much have the best running game in the SEC.

This was incorrect... Morris was a sophomore AA selection by CollegeFootballNews... Tunsil was on the SEC All Frosh team and a Freshman AA.

Carry on

We're gonna rely a lot on engram in the seam and Walton in the flat

Feel like that was the plan last year, too.

It's mediocre. That's why tempo is important. I imagine Alabama will get 30 seconds to sub.

I think we will find some success running the ball. Last week (against Memphis, I know) we started to find some success. We do really have 4 good RB's, we just need the O-line to get more comfortable with each other. We don't have any RB who can dominate a game on his own, but as a group I think we will get 120-140 yards next week. If we can get that with Bo going for about 300 yards (and only 1 int) this game will be decided by 1 score either way

I have a feeling we're gonna see more read option this game. Haven't seen it all year really.

Problem with that, at least last year, is that Wallace hasn't proven to be an effective weapon against us in the last few years running it. We have almost given him 3-4 yards and dropped him immediately and keyed on the smaller backs.

Well since the inside is not an option I would hope so.
