Could we have picked a more terrible year to be good This feels like some damn recruiting rankings

If only Arkansas would have beaten TAMU, than every team in the West would be in the top 25. Has a division ever been this good top to bottom?

2011 was top heavy and nowhere near as balanced as this year IMO.

3 years ago Alabama, LSU and Arkansas all had BCS Title game shots going into the final weekend of the regular season.

It isn't like the West just got deep and really good, it just got a bit deeper.

From a Mississippi State perspective, I think this year is worse. We could potentially lose any SECW game on our schedule.

2011

You could argue (pretty easily IMO) that 2011 Arkansas, Alabama and LSU would all be the best team in the West this year. Definitely Bama and LSU.

There are no terrible teams, but 2011 had the most elite teams the divison has ever had.

I mean, Alabama, LSU and Arkansas all had arguably their best teams in 20-30 years. In the same year.

We went 7-1 in 2003 and had a Heisman finalist at quarterback. Any other year we win the west but NOOOOOOO. LSU had to have their best team in over 50 years. Assholes.

I disagree, you guys are a terrible matchup for Arkansas because of how stout the run defense is. I have a hard time seeing Arkansas scoring a lot on MSU.

Arky was a pretender that year. Got buttfricked by [team redacted] in the sugar bowl. [redacted] had never beaten an SEC team in a BCS bowl.

Still probably the best Arkansas team since the 60's outside of 1998 maybe.

They also got run out of the building by Alabama and LSU, but those two teams were as good as any in the SEC in the last 20 years.

I cant think of another year where there has been this much parity from top to bottom.

I honestly think anybody could beat anybody this year.

We all have our strengths and we all have our weaknesses.

Ive decided to take a step back and just enjoy how this one plays out. Don't know if we will see another year like this for a while.

frick all yall
