Why are Aggies fans still so confident after Arkansas completely gave away game?

On a field in Texas no less.

I don't know if the SEC has ever seen this level of delusion, which is quite a profound statement if you stop and think about it.

Every team has a bad game. aTm's defense gave them stops when they needed it, and their offense gave them big plays when they needed it. Wins don't have to look pretty, they just have to happen.

Good point.

But you would think they survived against Alabama they way many are still talking.

I am putting the chances that your girlfriend got Cincinatti bowtied by some Aggie at 100%.

Find something else to worry about Sandusky.

Not saying we are playoff bound, but one tough game doesn't eliminate a team from being great. Ask either LSU championship team about not only playing poorly against bad teams (Florida in 2003, Arky and Kentucky in 2007), but losing. And this Arkansas team could very well be better than all three of those.

A&M already has a good history of blowing games like that

To see us come out with a win, and have the team / coaching staff keep it together and show composure, is a good feeling.

Our O is explosive and D is improved. Great ST as well sans the fake.

Our schedule gets progressively harder so that helps our transition a little.

I think Sumlin keeps us ready and we don't lose more than one game.

But the real reason is simply that A&M is God's gift to Earth. ;)

And I don't know a single A&M fan that thinks we looked good in that game. We were lucky to pull it out against a very much improved Arkansas squad who will probably knock off a couple teams in the West.

We won, and against all odds at that.

I'll take any SEC win

Because it's the SEC and everyone has games like that. In the past A&M always lost games like that.

Cowboys Stadium is the most Arkansas field there is. No pro stadiums in Arky, and Jerry Jones (Arky alum) owns the Cowboys.

Off-Topic, but I was very impressed with Myles Garrett. I knew he was good, but was under the impression he was just a great pass rusher..... He came up big against the run as well, complete package for sure

Because when it counted most the Texas A&M defense stuffed the best running attack in college football.....and in the fourth quarter and OT Texas A&M who had superior offensive talent as compared to the Hog defense decimated the Hog defense. 201 yards passing in the 4th quarter including the one 25 yard completion in OT.

Texas A&M has the youngest team in the SEC and will probably win 10 games and get a good bowl game. We will be better next year.

With a little Auburn Tiger luck we might win the SEC West. Without it I predict two losses right now.

I'm not overly "confident," nor am I "insecure" about my team.
I'm pleased with our record (I expected 4-1 at this point).
Huge opponents/games the next three weeks, for which I have zero expectations.
Just looking to enjoy the remainder of the season.

If I could find a future bet on him being a Top 3 pick, I'd probably drop quite a bit of money on it.

Has the talent for sure. I was excited to see him start Saturday, he was my favorite non-LSU commit from last year's class. He just needs to have an off game against us

Most of us expected a 7 win season. Arky is a good team and it was a big comeback.

I understand it's confusing as we're not like LSU in which fans increase their expectations from 7/8 wins to a national championship after a couple wins and then throw a raging hissy fit after a close game, but Texas A&M is not like that.

We played as shitty as I have seen under Sumlin. Not talking games like LSU last year where they straight up beat us but we were off all day. And still won. Don't expect us to look like total crap again.

And I don't know what you mean by still overly confident as we haven't said much.

Florida must feel super embarrassed every time the WLOCP is close.
