Would love to see that first Kennedy photo without the weird photoshopping

I understand and agree with what you are saying.....but sometimes a photographer will do the weird photo shopping to cover up deficiencies in a picture. maybe the main point of focus is out of focus, or something. Don't know if this is the case with this particular pic.....
If I get one like that I will typically WAAAAAY over sharpen the pic and it gives it a very pixilated look to it. Can save an otherwise bad picture.

Yea, they definitely went overboard with that one though but that's what's fun about photography, everyone has their own taste and how they like to do it. Same as how some people take HDRs and make them way too out there for me.
How does one go about getting to shoot at a game? I assume you have to have a media pass as part of an organization or something?

I understand why he probably did it. Still, I'd like to see the actual shot on its own (pics with those effects just don't do anything for me aesthetically).

Pretty much. If you are a member of the media you can get a pass. You CAN freelance, though and get a pass.

If you want to see some really good sports photography go to FM Forums. (FM standing for Fred Miranda) Find the tab and go to Sports Corner. They have everything on there. Football, Wrestling...you name it it is there. And the shots are done by people that sell their photos to Sports Illustrated and other magazines. Top Professionals.
If you are an amateur Photographer they will critique each others work and give pointers on how to get better shots. You can read and never post a shot on there, but still pick up a LOT of great info and tips.

Man that picture with UGA and Finebaum made me laugh. Finebaum makes UGA look very handsome. His mug could scare children.
