Is it just me or does it look like he could have easily avoided/stopped before hitting tHBC?

Yeah. I wish I could find a gif of the look he snapped at Mauk. Not happy.
It actually looked more flagrant in slow motion. In closer to real speed, it's not quite as egregious.

eta: it also looks like Spurrier's players all hate him. They were all like "hmmmph, whatev."
I'd think if an opposing QB had gone out of his way to bump Bielema 10 yards from the sideline there would be a big arse fight. Same with Bama, Tennessee, LSU, MSU, Kentucky. Not so much with Florida, Georgia, or Auburn.
