Have been down there a couple times but never really did anything because of family.
Anyways, what are some places to check out? Such as bars and clubs. Best spot to for the beach?
Also best bar for watching the Tennessee game?

Just git shite faced before you leave the hotel and let things sort themselves out from there. That's how I've always done Savannah

I'll meet up with you. Me, you, and TD can chill at WHITE Walker's

There is no beach spot worth a damn. Tybee sucks major arse. For relatively the same driving time, go to Hilton Head. Worlds apart and better sights for the eyes.

Savannah's a fun town. No open container laws lead to a very good time. Wear your Dawg gear and just hop around. Best thing to do is ask the locals where to go.
Are you staying downtown?

... and you'll spend $15 for a beer and there is no access to the beach. Tybee is awesome for those in the know (mid-brow fun son, so relax yourself already)
And its not relatively the same drive ...

Places to check out: Pinkie Masters if your into dives - Savannah's oldest and has a great jukebox. Rock's on the River is cool because its rooftop overlooking the river - its in the Bohemian Hotel. Bad thing is that there will be a ton of people and getting drinks might be an issue.
Go to Coach's Corner to watch the game - its an old roadhouse that's now a sports bar. Its been completely redone so its not really all that "roadhouse like" anymore. Tons of TV's - get the calzone or wings.
Tybee is cool to hang out during the day (for the beach) but its not really the place to go for single hanging. Its not a "shithole" - but no, its not Hilton Head. Its a laid back small beach town that can be a lot of fun. But no - there really are no "clubs" on Tybee anymore. Course I'm 46, married, with 4 kids, so ...

What exactly are you looking for in regards to bars? Where are you staying? Do you need restaurant recs?

I said relatively, not exactly. Never had to pay for parking at HH, plus the beaches are cleaner and much, much nicer. So are the sights.

Tylerdurden is right. The only way to do Savannah is slam a few before you leave the hotel then just wander around town and stop in as many random bars as possible. It never disappoints, love Savannah.
Tybee sucks, but it's still the beach, which is better than no beach at all.

i love the irish bar right next to the big arse hotel on river street...get the guinness/blue moon black and tan...they should have the game on and some guy singing celtic drinking songs...good times...

Oh, and don't forget Spanky's on Riverstreet for the best chicken fingers and spuds you will ever eat. Gotta have the honey, though. All that and a cold beer, and you are in business.

Stay away from River Street. City Market is where it's at.
If you're mobile, Coach's Corner is where to watch the game. If not, watch it upstairs at Wild Wings in City Market.
Tybee is not as bad as people make it out to be. You just have to know where to go and what to do there. Hit Tybee Times. Pro Tip: You might run into Chef there. Also, you can drink on the beach on Tybee, it's illegal to do that on HHI.
Savannah Smiles sucks unless you have a big group of people. It's usually full of bachelor and bachelorette parties.
Once you answer my earlier questions, I can narrow down where you need to go.

Let me know what kind of trouble you're looking to find and I will point you in the right direction.

Used to spend quite a bit of time there before UGA - came back as much as I could, though - and Uncle Sam took me off. Don't forget Vinnies for the pizza...

Wild Wings
Best wing place there is, IMO.
