Video inside

A Marathon gas station clerk in Canton, Ohio found himself in a gunfight with three armed robbers last night.

Despite the odds being stacked against him, it was the would be robbers that ended up on the losing end of the fight.

The clerk struck two of the suspects. All three suspects were able to flee the scene, but the two suspects who were shot were found nearby and taken to an area hospital, where they both died.

The third suspect managed to escape unharmed and is being sought by police. If he is caught, it is likely he will be charged with the murder of his two deceased accomplices.

The clerk was shot once in the leg and is being treated for non life threatening injuries at an area hospital.

Yes, they do. If guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns.

I know this sounds cruel but good riddance with them

I've never been shot at, interestingly enough I've never robbed a store. What a coincidence

Good thing that's not New York or that clerk would be going to jail.

Two people dead, right?

Another in the hospital?

Gunfight at a gas station?

To most people who do not support gun ownership in its current form, this isn't going to change their minds.

Gun ownership as its intended? Sure.

But been there, seen illegal as frick shite. I'd like people (dealers for sure) to follow the correct protocol when giving people weapons.

I have no objections, though, as of right now.

The title of this thread is "Guns Save Lives" and it links to an article where two people are dead and one is injured. But, yeah, it's the other guys who are illogical.

It's ironic that our liberal gun ownership laws were intended to prevent government's bullying of citizens. Instead, we must protect ourselves from fellow citizens who want what we have and seek to take it by force.

I don't think this is what the Founders had in mind.

How is it illogical to say on this case that the gun saved a life? That it killed others is irrelevant.

No, because if the law abiding citizen didn't (clerk) wasn't allowed to have a gun to protect himself, he would probably have been shot and the criminals might have gotten away with it.

Thanks to legal gun ownership, the bad guys lost and good guy won.

You are being disingenuous.

Maybe the title should have said, "innocent lives," but the premise is correct and you know it.

Would you rather the innocent person die just to satisfy the numbers?

Hell, just let criminals have all the guns. That'd be better, by that logic.
