Upper deck on one side was completed after all games were played at Legion Field in 1987. Alabama crushed Vanderbilt, 44-10. Unfortunately, someone goofed on a water pressure takeoff and the stadium had no water, ice, or flushing capabilities after halftime.

It's so apropos that I-59 Tiger had the antiquated Angelfire fail. Dude is always bringing the history lesson to this site (which is cool with me by the way).

Only pic I could find of just the one upper deck.

No big. Everyone who hadn't been to the site and had the image cached was probably getting a hotlinking error. I put it on imgur.

They decided to actually do a "stress test" the water systems before the first game for the other three upper deck additions.

Angelfire.com was founded only 8 years later.

It's because it's in your browser cache from having been to the site in the first place. Everyone who hadn't gone to that particular angelfire page wouldn't be able to see it.

It's all good, just messing with you. I like your historical tidbits. I am curious as to how old you are - you seem to have some personal knowledge of and attachment to some stuff that happened back in the day.
