Some of the worst stadiums I've ever been to were large stadiums.
Every fan I've known that went to the Rose Bowl described it as a dump. Every single one.

I went to the 2009 NC and thought it was a great stadium. And they've renovated it since. It was refreshing to watch a game without being assaulted by neon lights and flashing signs and video boards with nonstop ads. It's a CFB stadium in its purest form and sits in an unbeatable location with the mountains peeking over the rim.
Not a dump. I wouldn't mind if they hosted the NC game every year.

Apparently they renovated the Rose Bowl recently, I didn't mind it for the 2009 championship game against Texas, however the bathroom situation was absolutely ridiculously awful. Hopefully their renovations addressed that.
