Ok...time to look forward to UT game...a crucial east division game that we cannot lose to go 1-2 in SEC.

Couple of stats I gathered...UT is 11th in total offense per game in SEC, has allowed Worley to be sacked 9 times and rushing stats are bad...Hurd has about 200 yds total and among top 20 ball carriers in SEC play he has the lowest per carry avg gain.. Marquez North is the only viable wr and he has not had that many catches...probably due to sacks and pressure on Worley.

On defense UT is better but still thin in depth. The one thing the coons have to their advantage is homefield...they play between the hedges this Saturday against the dawgs. UT will be hungry and looking for a SEC win.

Lets hear what you got...but please don't continue the bombardment rants about Boom and Driskel...you can go elsewhere and pile on. Wanna hear anything intelligent....asking a lot.

I think we can jump out on top because of our run defense and their young OL...we should tally two or three sacks at least.

Seriously, who knows? Are we capable of beating UT? of course. Will we make the changes needed in the bye week to beat UT? who know? The players and coaching staff know that this is the pivotal game of the season so I am optimistic that they are working hard on improving and we will see the results next week. If not, who knows how the rest of the season will unfold. go Gators.

If we lose to UT I think the season is pretty much doomed. It will be really detrimental to the recruiting cycle as well as everyone will assume Boom is dead man walking.

If the secondary play does not improve, and UF gives up easy points, they are in for a long day. UT can't run the ball, but their passing game is decent.

UF will need to win the LOS, and get pressure on Worley. That shouldn't be too hard against their crap line.

On offense, UF has to just not lose the game. The UT defense is better, so I don't think UF will score a lot with Driskel at QB, but they have to find a way to run the ball, win field position, and just make enough passes to get to 28 points, and I think UF will win then.

Anything less than that, and it gets dicey with that secondary.

If Driskel does start, and loses this game, things will VERY ugly in the UF fan base.

Worley has been sacked more than any other SEC qb...its really bad and its no ones fault...Jones has recruited his butt off but UT will need a couple more years to see real results. I expect them to battle us with sheer determination... we win in 3rd or 4th qt. UTs rb Hurd has the lowest per carry avg in the top 20 SEC rb stats and Marquez North only has 14 catches and 2 TDs I believe....its been really tough for UT because of the OL issues. 5 new starters and one already got hurt first game of the year and lost for the season. If they lose anymore OL they should just wave white flag before the game starts.

I think the D will be much better against UT, and you're right, that OL for the Vols is a mess. Even the Vols fans on here have pretty much acknowledge this issue as well.

Because it's at UT, I know they'll play hard, but I agree we pull away late in the game.

Muschamp is gone 100% if we lose to Tennessee, I don't even think they'd wait until the middle of the season.

I got no guesses. I'm going to watch bright and early at 11 a.m. at the Lonestar Alumni shindig.

Hoping for the best.

At least the noon kickoff is an away game. I hate the waste of a perfectly good tailgate because of a noon kickoff.

We probably agree on a lot, it's just that conflict gets more attention.

This is a must win game for Muschamp -- even on our worst years we've beaten Tennessee and so if we lose there anyone can just assume we're about to lose our asses in the season.

This all I will say from what I have seen from UT and UF so far. If Tennessee's offensive line comes out and plays above their heads and gives it their all for 60 minutes and UF catches a case of the turnover bug we will probably lose. If Tennessee comes out and their offensive line plays as poorly as they have and we dont turn the ball over we will win.

Ground breaking analysis right there.

Injury Update for Tennessee. Orr suffered a Meniscus tear and had surgery Monday and is questionable. We should have Brown and Humphries back at O-line. Michael Taylor is also questionable with a bone bruise.

In another positive note Roderick Johnson the RS Freshman RT caught the attention of a couple people in the Bama game by only giving up 1 pressure in 34 block attempts. Future for him seems bright.

Kyle Christy leads nation in punt avg at 50.4.

Heres my .03 worth....while losing to UT would bring out the torch and pitchfork crowd...it might be premature....why? Cause the SEC east winner might have two losses and losing to UT is safer than losing to UGA or USC or Mizzou.

It would not be wise to fire someone who wins the SEC east...just saying. And before some of you sprout off about how we'd never beat UGA or USC....you are dead wrong. Theres a lot of warts on teams not just in the east but teams like LSU are very beatable (we will beat them in the Swamp).

Only three games played. But lets not turn this thread into a fire him or bench him soapbox...find another thread for that...I prefer to be optimistic. I could have been on the Titanic as it was about to go under and would have said..."hey it sure is a clear sky tonight"

I agree with you for the most part -- but if we lose to UT we don't have a prayer against USC, UGA, LSU or FSU which are all better than UT and much further down the line. (We have to factor in injuries as well as tape for our offense.)

I would never fire him personally until later in the season, and it could be argued left and right that he ought to be if he does drop this game. That said: He's gotta win this game or the fan base will lose all trust with him and force Foley's hand.

Orr is a big loss but not as bad as losing a OL...we do have some depth on the DL ditto Taylor and LBs The weather is getting a little cooler which helps depth some. Brown and Humphries is good news.
