When I was watching the game & that play happened I started wondering what exactly they would record that as in the game stats if Dak would have jumped on the ball & recovered it... It would have ended up being like a 22 yard loss. If he never touched it until he dove on it would it just be like a fumble recovery or would they have counted it as a carry & subtracted 20+ yards from his 100+ yard game knocking him down below 100? That would be really unfair to count that as a carry & if that's what they would have done then I'm actually glad that he didn't recover it.

Good point. No way he wins the heisman in that scenario.

Exactly. It's important that he has 100+ yard games rushing to stay impressing the heisman voters. If they would have counted that as a carry he would have shot down near 78 yards rushing.

It's tough to tell if MSU fans are trolling or just stupid.

In this case it really is.

Recover a bad snap and keep the ball but decrease your rushing yards, or give the ball up to the opponent and give them a glimmer of hope? Oh, decisions, decisions.

I really hope, for y'alls sake, that in the future Dak doesn't refuse to recover a fumble just to save his stats for the Heisman voters.

I can't tell if his response to Garfield was genuine.

If you can't tell if it's a troll or they're just stupid, it's a bad troll IMO.

No I'm not saying Dak didn't recover it on purpose to keep his 100+ yards rushing I'm saying that I'm personally glad he didn't recover it now that we won & everything. If he stays a legitimate contender in the race all his 100+ yard rushing games will be mentioned & he needs a few good 100+ yard rushing games against some good SEC teams which he now has one.
