We as a society and fan bases have to stop rewarding and defending bad behavior just because of the colors someone wears, the political party they represent, or the color of their skin.

Dillon Day has a history of this. He is a thug. I am not embarrassed of my team but I am embarrassed of him. As great of a story that Dak Prescott is, and him leading State to victory in Death Valley - it was overshadowed by selfish, thuggish behavior.

He has a history of it. Its been noted that he was suspended last season for a half for doing the same thing. He had a reputation as a dirty player at West Monroe as well. I think most reasonable people are willing to let the first one slide, but the second one, followed by a personal foul - he's lucky he will play another down of college football.

It's not just MSU. Florida State fans defend Winston and in the most vile case, Penn State fans defended what went on there. We have to stop, people. Stop defending bad behavior because they wear your team colors.

Sorry, I'm just disgusted by MSU fans creating petitions and doing stupid things defending this clown.

Hard to support thuggish behavior. I was at the game so I didn't see the video until yesterday. Like I said, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt on the first one - but the second one and personal foul?

Just a dirty player that I don't want associated with MSU. Wish they would just kick him off the team.

And like I pointed out in the Bama video thread - lots of students on university campus are anti-sports (football especially). Student attendance problems have been discussed on this board repeatedly. Things like this and thugs yelling frick her right in the pussy aren't helping.

Students of today become alumni returning with their families tomorrow - or not returning.

Agreed. MSU fans don't need to defend this guy cause they still have a good team even if he's gone.

Go join the peace corp or something. You sound like a over sensitive litigious b!tch.

Not to mention you're a POS for bad mouthing your own on a non-MSU message board. You probably have every Dixie Chicks album ever made.

Great post. All schools need more fans like this and less excuse making. We all complain about how entitled or bad/violent players act but turn around and dismiss/justify when it's our own. We're as to blame as anyone as we have a huge role to play in sending a message about what is tolerable. Violent actions just aren't acceptable nor are intentions to injure players.

This isn't underage drinking or some weed but violent actions on the field that could've ended 2 players careers.

No one is defending his actions. I think most State fans don't think he intentionally "stomped" either of those two players.

Did he see them and then not try to get out of the way? Probably so. It's not like he was running down the field looking for people to stomp.

The State fans on here are just trying to point out the hypocrisy in all of the people bitching over it.

Really? You think alumni aren't going to come back to their alma mater because some football player stepped on a few guys in a football game? Stop being overly apologetic. You sound like a huge pussy.
