yes he was for that game. Captains are chosen for each game. He has been an absolute beast as the gunner covering both kicks and punts.

One of my favorite things about SEC football is watching future stars dominate on special teams.
I was at the LSU game a few years ago when Jarvis Landry was murdering Auburn players on every kickoff. A couple of the biggest hits I've ever seen.

Georgia actually sews the C on their jersey for ONE game? Very odd.
Obviously UGA can do whatever, but most teams elect permanent captains and honor those folks with the C. Usually its upper classmen.
Just unusual to see a FR and a one game thing.

UGA elects permanent season captains at the end of the season, I believe.

Coaches nominate weekly captains for offense, defense and special teams. Richt names the captains each week.
Players vote at the end of the year for the 3 captains that go down as captains for that season

I actually noticed that. Kid is a football player. Heard he actually asked to be a gunner.
