The SEC has named Sony Michel as the conference's freshman of the week for his efforts against Troy. Michel rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.

After week one, I thought Chubb was the better back. He might be, still. Scary.

Gurshel has become just Gurley. But Chubby is still strong.

Chubb is good. Very, very good. Possibly All-SEC good. But it's been my opinion, even after the Clemson game, that Michel is the better back and will have the better career at Georgia and beyond.

Which is not a slight at all on Chubb, fwiw. Basically, it just means that it's great to be a Georgia Bulldog for the next three years - at least.

I get the idea that Michel will be THE guy post Gurley. Him and Chubb will be the duo but Michel provides a threat in all facets of the game. Very impressed by him.

Chubb is going to be a deadly, deadly weapon - heck - IS a deadly, deadly weapon and we will use him as such for the next three years. At RB.

Michel will also be a home run threat at RB, has power at RB, balance, speed, moves, everything. Plus he can play WR with the best in the SEC.

He is a potential Reggie Bush type player. We struck gold with Gurley and Marshall - platinum with Chubb and Michel. Throw in Mckenzie and it hardly ain't fair.

How Chubb was used against Clemson is how I was hoping it would happen the rest of the season. Wear them down and have him come in and start running over people.

I like the fact that there can be a debate on whether world-beater freshman Michel, or Chubb, is the better backup to world-beater junior, Gurley.

Michel has looked darn good in relief of Gurley. With Chubb's thumb injury and Marshall still gun shy after his injury, I have to say that Michel is not the #2 RB behind Gurley going into the Tennessee game.

I am with ya. And it's crazy considering back in 2011 we couldn't fine even one RB worth a shite behind Crow. And 2010 when they were all mediocre.

I'm 65 and I've never seen any team with a group of RBs in the same league as ours. I'm recording every game this season because I know I'll never see something like this again.

2009. The timeline coincides directly with when he took over in terms of evaluating and recruiting. In order, Crowell, Marshall, Gurley, Turman, ROWK, Sony, Chubb

It's like when the Braves had Maddox, Glavine, and Smoltz (even Pete Smith). You knew there would never be 3/4 on one team at that level again. Just wish we could put it all together. What if Murray were still here and we had a couple more DBs and all of our receivers were healthy/out of the Dawg house. One day
