I think we all agree that LSU should not fire Les. What he has done at LSU has been incredible. Yet for someone reason, a large amount of tigers want him gone. So once Les is let go, who do the tigers want to take over?

We've hired 3 Yankees in a row but past performance is no guarantee of future results.

The obvious answer is Pete Carroll.

He's the only coach that would be acceptable to NegaTiger Nation.

I'm sure he'd come to Baton Rouge if threw maximum bank his way.

Sounds totally rational, right?

Belichick is a Yankee right? Though he's been pretty conservative this year, so I dunno if he would be acceptable

Errrrrrbody is joking about this but if Les gets enough shite this year and goes 7-5/8-4 AND Michigan comes after him again once they fire Hoke things will get interesting.

Gruden is at the top of the list like every coaching search
Sean Payton
Both Harbaugh's are in play
Pete Carroll might come back to college game

Dan Quinn is an up and comer
Adam Gase is an up and comer and has ties to the Mannings

Call Archie he can sit on search committee

Mike Gundy. Oklahoma State has been kind to them the last 9 years.

Pretty much.

I don't think Peyton hates them quite as much since he didn't play against them very much, if at all, in college. But he grew up an Ole Miss fan and Archie isn't very fond of them

But does Les Miles even notice when people hate him? He's in his own little world.

same fans on the TR have always wanted Les gone. They come out of the woodwork with their opinions every time LSU loses.

Gundy is a sleeping giant of a coach IMO. He has put OSU on the map nationally and was one game away from playing in the national championship game. Put him at a program like LSU and I think he would be very successful. I was really surprised Texas didn't go after him

ETA: All of this being said, Les isn't going anywhere and any LSU fan who thinks he should be fired is a tard

I agree that Gundy could be very successful. And he is not working with near the talent he would have at LSU. But it's always tough to know how coaches can recruit at the highest level. It's a different type of recruiting. You can't afford to miss many top recruits in your state, and you need the absolute best players to compete against SEC competition.
