Through 4 weeks, how would you grade progression from last year?

Alabama- slightly better
Arkansas- exponentially better
Auburn- Slightly worse
Florida- slightly better
Georgia- about the same
Kentucky- Much better
LSU- exponentially worse
MSU- much better
Missouri- much worse
Ole miss- slightly better
South Carolina- slightly worse
Tennessee- much better
Texas A&M- much better
Vanderbilt- exponentially worse
This is compared to last year's teams. Agree or disagree?
Arkansas- exponentially better
Auburn- Slightly worse
Florida- slightly better
Georgia- about the same
Kentucky- Much better
LSU- exponentially worse
MSU- much better
Missouri- much worse
Ole miss- slightly better
South Carolina- slightly worse
Tennessee- much better
Texas A&M- much better
Vanderbilt- exponentially worse

Can't necessarily disagree although we've had some shining moments. Hopefully things improve while gearing up for Auburn.
I think A&M isn't quite as good as projected, Bama and Aubbie the same but the season is still young. What a weird season for the SEC.

offense-vastly greater potential, too many mental errors. if we stop shooting ourselves in the foot we would be unstoppable
defense-who knows how it will actually end up, we have yet to have the same group or players start due to suspension and injury. dline looks really good, LBs are a downtick, secondary could be really good if we can get and stay healthy

Georgia is just healthier. I think we were a good team until the injuries hit.

We could lose by 3 TD's and I'd still argue we're exponentially better than last year. We struggled to beat the cupcakes on our schedule last year. We only beat SAMFORD by 10 points and were losing in the 4th quarter for crying out loud.

Basically my reasoning. I'm not saying Arkansas is a great team but they are so much better than that dumpster fire a year ago.

So before the season began, if someone were to say 4 weeks into the season A&M would be #2 in the SEC in scoring defense without allowing a rushing TD and won by 24 points on the road against top 10 USCe to start the season you would have said. "Meh, I expected them to play better than that"?

Ah I think I misunderstood the OP then.
So if we are going by actual results on the field. How is it even a question that the A&M defense is night and day? The team last year was giving up 30+ points to these same scrub teams.

They look fine, but a lot of fans from various teams I've talked to all say the same thing, that they look more vulnerable than in years past. They just don't strike the same fear as they have recently. Obviously that's a pretty subjective analysis.

I don't think Auburn looks any worse than last year, better probably, at this point in the season. But will we match the huge improvement from last year? Probably not. I do think people read too much into the KSU win, I don't think you'll see a performance like that again.

Depends. Comparing AU in Sept 2013 vs Sept 2014, I think we are slightly better. If comparing end of season 2013 to Now, waay, waay worse.

Mostly based on KSU only though. Still a really small sample size to compare

I've got to be truthful in saying that any expectations I had are well beyond exceeded.
It was widely accepted that A&M would suffer and take a step backwards as 2014 was going to be a rebuilding year. 2015 was thought to be "the year" when we would field a complete team. It still may turn out to be true, but in my eyes the team is ahead of schedule of my personal expectations.
Any and all media coverage has been largely positive, and that will go a long way in keeping us up to date in the minds of recruits.

Pretty much agree on most of it. Disagreements as follows:
Florida--I would go no better than "about the same". Needing 3 OT's to beat Kentucky makes for a great ESPN Instant Classic--during basketball season; during football season that's a problem. Plus remove two big turnovers and the score vs. Alabama is MUCH worse.
South Carolina--I'm going "much worse" here. Losing big to A&M is one thing, and a tough game against Georgia is another. But struggling against Vandy AND having some problems with East Carolina is not a good sign.
