SECN just showed replay of the Bama game with more focus on Bama than us...of course. They didn't show the fumble exchange between Driskel and Matt Jones...just an unforced error that changed everything.

I observed several things...folks are down on our defense but I am watching effort plays and their was a bunch of them...on one short pass to Cooper in the right flat...who is joining in the fray to secure a tackle? None other than Orr (#8) a big DT who hustled from the other side of the defense to run downfield to help. I saw play after play where our defense sold out and used every ounce and drop of energy to make a play.

What I DONT see is our offense doing the same thing or we would have dismantled Bama honestly. Our OL, WRS, TEs and RBs have to show us they will do WHATEVER it takes to win. Driskel is one person in a team sport. We need a fire lit under the offense but who can we replace them with? Cant use a waiver wire. We have to get more depth on offense so that the bench is a real threat.

Oh...btw I realize there were mistakes made in coverages etc etc...but kids like Neal & others can be coached up...its correctable...but lack of effort? That would be worse and we didn't have that.

What you didn't see was Driskel on the sideline trying to round the troops up. That's a difference between Driskel and any other good QB. I hate Jameis Winston but even in a game he didn't play in he was still on the sideline rounding up his troops. Defensive effort may have existed but not wrapping up and diving at feet doesn't make tackles and late hits and personal fouls doesn't win games. Discipline and the basics didn't exist for the large part. Coaching can fix that but we have seen it for 3 games now and going into last year. Time for a change.

Eh, when he does things right, people talk about everything that he does wrong.

When he does things wrong, people exaggerate.

Hard to be a leader when you can do no right.

We beat UT...then LSU and all the pitchfork & torch crowd will hide them back under their beds.

Meh... While I hope this happens, will that really be a true indicator if this program is heading in the right direction?

Tennessee is still a shell of itself, LSU has a ton of issues like us, and Missouri, well I don't fricking know how you lose to Indiana.

Exactly my point...we have LSU, Mizzou and USC all at home and very beatable. Its UT, Vandy, UGA & the girls school to make gravy....and we could beat all of them.

Not with Driskel at QB unless he elevates his game.

What makes you think LSU is some juggernaut? Years past? They run 70% and that is in our defenses wheelhouse and we are at home....kittys go home with an L.

I think people are also forgetting that Alabama played a hell of a game.

Their defense predicted our playcalling well, their players followed their assignments and they made few mistakes (on defense). Played soft, got pressure without blitzing and they won the game.

We didn't beat us, they were clearly the better coached, disciplined and athletic team than us. They're pretty damn good right now, and there's a good chance they'll be in the playoff. I don't see anyone except maybe A&M coming close to beating them.

Our hardest game will probably be Georgia and then FSU, but I think all of the teams we play are beatable.
