While Alabama quarterback Blake Sims was airing it out for 445 passing yards Saturday, he was wearing on his throwing arm a purple bracelet with a Bible verse and a teenager's name on it.
Sims was honoring Kayla Perry, the 19-year-old cancer patient from Birmingham whose passionate message about living with the disease has helped raise about $50,000 for pediatric cancer research.
That she's an Auburn student and big Auburn fan doesn't make a bit of difference for this good cause.
"Hey guys, you know I'm an Auburn Tiger, but even college rivalries can come together when it matters," Kayla posted Saturday on Facebook with a picture of Sims. "Many thanks to University of Alabama QB Blake Sims for seeing my story, and asking to wear my bracelet this week, and today, especially!"

In related news - Roberson ran down the field after the game all the way to the entrance to the Bama tunnel to give Tony Brown, the freshman CB who covered him the entire game, a hug and tell him solid game.

TB did play a good game. Limited their best receiver to 2 catches for 14 yards.

99% of the players on Auburn and Alabama are class people in my view. its the jackass fans that cause the problems.
