Is this year similar to 2006? I think we go all the way next year. Let these young guys develop. This all I am hanging onto right now. Hope in next season.

Bro, that's a pipe dream I'm sorry to say. We lose 11 of 22 starters (counting Ray) after this season, including all our WR, and he have given little to no snaps to their backups. Also, people keep saying it's a young team, but it's not. 17 of 22 starters are JR/SR, and 4 more are RSSO who are the same age as a Junior most other places. Inexperienced is a better term.

This university doesn't want to win.

On offense, we lose Morse, Murphy, White, Sasser and Hunt. Morse will be replaced by someone as good or better. Doesn't concern me at all. Hate losing Murphy but Hansbrough probably carries a bigger load at TB and he returns. We completely lose all of our WR's yet again and would love to see some of the younger guys getting more involved. I really think the staff fell asleep at the switch in recruiting WR's in and around DGB, relying on him too much and now he's gone. Developing the young WR's seems to be the biggest key to me on offense.

On defense, we're screwed at DE losing Golden and Ray and we need some JUCO DE's if you ask me, especially assuming Ray goes pro. We lose Hoch and Vincent too, but that doesn't concern me as much. Brantley and Augusta have proven to be more than dependable behind them, among others. I think the only DB we lose is Webb at Safety and losing him so does not concern me.

Maybe I think too highly of the last class or two, but I really feel we have a lot of talent in that class(es). The key is getting them developed and ready to go.

C'mon guys. It was one game. If we eat the dick next week, then we can start thinking about fubaring the season. But it isn't bad yet.
