Serious question, not trolling:

If LSU finishes the season at 6-6 or 7-5, will MSU still consider it a signature win? Will Dan Mullen be content with beating an average team, or is it viewed in the vain that, "we beat them when they were in the top 10" (even if they finish outside of the top 25)?

Auburn made the natty last year having lost a September game at LSU. If LSU rights the ship and wins the rest of their games, they are in the thick of this thing yet.

I honestly dont see any way anybody is gonna get out of the SEC West without a loss. fricking brutal. More than I have ever seen in in 30+ years.

Any SEC west win is a good win this year. Never seen the league with every team so talented before.

I still think we lose 3-4 games. Thought that before the season, but I thought we'd win this one.

LSU had a rough night, but they would win the East.

We look terrible and I hate world right now, but I really don't think we finish outside the top 20.

3-4 Losses for LSU IMO. Probably 4 b/c of the slate of teams that will be tough - MSU (we lost already) A&M/Ole Miss/ALA/AUB although Alabama nor Auburn looked like playoff teams this past weekend.

I will not disparage this win, but LSU looked like hot garbage and they honestly have all season. They've had a few big plays to get them their wins, but overall they're pretty friggin terrible.

And I absolutely hate saying that because it makes me sound bitter, and I'm not. I cheered my arse off for State last night and they looked great in their beatdown. Just because LSU looked like shite don't think it means State was bad. They looked damn good.

LSU will finish the season 3-5 in SEC play. But, make no mistake, this was a "Signature" win for Miss State. You beat a team that has beaten you 14 straight and 21 out of 22 times (in their house) and that my friend is a "Signature" win.

Congrats to MSU. It was clear as day that they were much better than LSU in every phase of the game.

And, yes, the decline is real.

Maybe, but you'll lose to us for the second year in a row; and the arse kicking we dished out in TS in 2008 will be nothing in comparison to what happens this year. Sucks to suck .

Oh, and it's pitiful that LSU fans have been reduced to living vicariously through MSU. I almost feel bad for you. .

Yes and they should, considering how long the drought was.

I suppose it's fitting that you chose to participate then.

Meh. Maybe we lose to you. Who knows. And how is pointing out that you're the second best team in the landmass living vicariously through MSU? It's simply the truth.
