I'm not going to be able to watch the game fully until I get home around 1 but from what I caught on sec network mobile Ramsey looked pretty strong. So what say you old scalliwags

Either of these guys would or could start for most schools. Its the same arguments though, ramsey a more bradyesque type pocket qb and bauta while having good presence and command also has good mobility. They both showed out a little and deserve a starting role. Good problems to have and knowing eason will be here in a few years is awesome.

I think they're both my physically gifted that Mason. If we were truly just opening up the playbook and that's why Mason was the starter, because he has a better grasp of the offense, I'd be fine with that... but we're not. I think it's pretty clear that Bobo (and likely Richt) don't trust him because it seems like we really don't try and stretch defenses with the pass. If we're calling deep passes and he just keeps checking down because he's scared to throw it deep, then the coaches need to have the "come to Jesus" talk with him.

Hard to say anything definite about either back-up QB against Troy. I would say that Ramsey had some nice zip on many of his passes.

Ramsey has some really good strength on his throws, but still struggles with touch and a little bit with accuracy as well. From what I've heard he doesn't have the best attitude either and someone like that is going to have a hard time leading the team. Bauta is a decent runner, but his arm is is below average and I think that may have to do with his throwing motion. It's very difficult to judge them properly against Troy, but as of now I feel like Ramsey has the upper hand because he can make some throws that Bauta can't. Hopefully against Vandy or CSU we can see Bauta make some throws that Ramsey attempted in the game yesterday.
