Boehm played the worst game of his career today. Oline didn't allow for anything to happen. And that Swiss Cheese run defense

Trap game. Looking ahead to USCe.

I thought we were done losing these kind of games.

Looked completely unprepared to play today.

This team just isn't very good. End of story. At least compared to last years team. We will be lucky to be 7-5.

DL couldn't get pressure. Too many penalties, most occurring on key downs. OL got worked over. Receivers dropped too many passes.

I can chalk penalties and dropped passes up to looking ahead, but the lines just being outmatched is something that I think we're going to face all year.

I'm not really pissed either. I've been trying to figure out this team, now I think I have a pretty good idea.

I think 6-6 sounds about right.

Screen plays and 10 yards off the ball by our db's. Easy game plan to use.

On a positive note, Mauk did pretty good considering he was running for his life most of the game and Baggett didn't frick up.

@SC - Lose
UGA - Lose
@UF - Lose
Vandy - Win
UK - Toss up
@A&M - Lose
@UT - Lose
Arky - Toss up

Gotta win the toss ups to get to 6. UF doesn't impress me but I don't see any way we go down there and win.

The only problem is we couldn't afford to be a 6-6 or 5-7 team this year. How the hell are we supposed to turn this around when we are gonna keep losing key players without replacing them with solid recruiting? 8-5 needed to be the worst case scenario.

Am I the only one who thinks this game really changes nothing?

Every remaining game (save A&M) is winable. The entire division's defenses are shitshows, too.

If whatever happened to the OL can be fixed, nothing has changed.

Our defense was getting exposed all along. It'll be up to the offense to outscore teams.

any chance Pinkel mans up and takes responsibility for getting out planned and out coached or will he do his usual throwing of the players under the bus and just say we didn't play well and need to play better?

I can see him blaming Mauks interception and the defense for not getting a take away.

I don't think things have changed much either. I just don't think we're that good this year. I do look forward to next year. But let's face it, 1st year starting QB, three 1st year starters at WR, lost our leading RB, lost our best DB, lost a handful of LB's. We're young and I just don't think we're that good this year. I had thought 8-4 at best 9-3 this year. That's still doable but I'd be more leaning to 6-6 or 7-5 now.

When I would look at the roster and the depth charts over the summer, I couldn't help but be excited about next year more so than this year.

It blew my mind how there was no real plan at the end of the game to try to win it.

Yep

9-3 is the absolute cap to this season.

That OL was just shite. Probably hidden due to competition played. It reared its head in the UCF game during the 1st half. 2nd half was more of an attrition thing than anything else.

We need to recruit better. We have no depth and playing a slight of hand strategy will not carry us far in this league.

Just dont know, not trying to over react but the issues were front and center when we were playing the cup cakes and were exposed when playing an FBS power 5 team.

I love Gary Pinkel. I was his biggest defender during the shitacular 2012-2013 opening season in the SEC.

I just think as the power 5 consolidates and the talent does as well that Gary loses that "edge" he always found in bringing players into Mizzou.
