Tied at half with Indiana. They're not great.

We might win it and I thought we might pre season but there's a lot of football left to played before then and I'm still not sold on our D. Looks good at times but not so much at other times. I think it has improved but we'll need to continue to make progress with the D.

Loving the offense though including the passing game.

Passing TD!

Honestly, I didn't get to watch either game (freaking kids and their activities). Is our secondary really getting good enough to beat a solid passing team?

We were smothering their receivers really well, but NIU did a really good job on screens and passes to their halfbacks in the flat, but that was primarily because they were blocking our corners well and not due to blown coverages. I was at the game and didn't get a great look, but that's what I was seeing a lot of.

As for us, Allen looked really good. That pass to Cornelius was incredible. Derby was wide open a few times (he's really good at getting open) and Allen just wasn't looking to his side of the field, but he did a phenomenal job of not staring down receivers and maintaining his composure in the pocket
