It's disgusting.

They put it on everything, it NEVER ends:

Chicken wings/Fingers
Pizza
Salad
Chips (including Doritos)
French Fries
Sandwiches
Soda:

How do people like this stuff? I feel like puking just smelling it. Why can't we invent good foods in this country? Everything we invent is just a mixture of prexisting foods to make some shitty super food like American Cheese or Spam...and yes, even Ranch.

frick Ranch.

I got this German dressing that's pretty bomb, I'll take a picture of it soon...probably not, gonna go to bed early, so just imagine it being German and delicious.

Back in the day I made the ranch dressing at work. It had LOTS of mayo.

Ranch dressing represents the tastes Americans find irresistible: Salt, sugar and fat. Food manufacturers began to saturate processed foods with these three additives in the mid 1990s. Coincidentally , that's when the obesity epidemic began.

I don't mind ranch, but I don't eat it all that often.

It's basically ranch seasoning pack + Mayo.

Sorry.

That would depend on the recipe. There are certainly versions that do not include mayo.

I have no insider knowledge of how Hidden Valley products are made, but at least one of them is a buttermilk variety. Buttermilk or sour cream are often used in the non-mayo versions. The dip my mother makes has no mayo, but plenty of sour cream.

ETA-I hate ALL ranch dressings/dips.

I actually enjoy fresh bearnaise, Hollandaise, etc. When I rail against mayo I'm talking about the processed crap that gets slathered on every sandwich. I'm turned off to that.
