I'm surprised it isn't more, since more than a quarter of Americans are idiots.

Would the removal of federal funding be offset by the amount of taxes you no longer have to pay?

1/4 of Americans also believe that George Bush planned 9/11.

At least 1/4 of Americans are retarded.

And if that doesn't scare you, think about this:

At least 1 American is Stonehog

It was most popular in the Southwest, where 34.1 percent of respondents back the idea.

That region includes Texas, where an activist group is calling the state's legislature to put the secession question on a statewide ballot. One Texan respondent said he was confident his state could get by without the rest of the country.

"Texas has everything we need. We have the manufacturing, we have the oil, and we don't need them," said Mark Denny, a 59-year-old retiree living outside Dallas on disability payments.

Denny, a Republican, had cheered on the Scottish independence movement.

I'd love to see what Texas (minus Federal troops) would do if the Mexican drug cartel decided to set up shop across the Rio Grande.

I'll bet that the number is higher than 25% in Texas. I hope it's pretty low in Mississippi. Without the tax dollars flowing into that shithole from the productive states, it would be even worse than it is now......if that's even conceivable.
