I got to looking at this after hearing last night was the first time auburn had done it since 1983 and have gone back to 1990 and can't find shite for Ole miss. Any rebels know?

Tennessee's last one was 2003 @ #7 Miami then 1998 @ Syracuse

Other schools care to share their schools last nonconference road win over a ranked opponent?

I would imagine it's been awhile for schools such as MSU and UK as well, possibly Vandy but I'm not very familiar with their schedule over the last few years

I doubt it, but I can't even think of the last time we played a non-conference road game vs. a ranked opponent.

Would be unfair if Ole Miss had no chance past week 1 of CFB season. That feeling is reserved for when they play their first SEC opponent.

If you count bowl games then there are quite a lot of them.

Tennessee fans concerning themselves with Mississippi's history?

Man, that's a long way to fall.

Well of course they don't count

And looks like In 1960 OM beat Arky and the hogs finished ranked #7, not sure of ranking at the time of the game

Our last three:
1992 at Texas
1986 at Syracuse
1980 at Miami

Doesn't happen that often at MSU.

7 was their final ranking.

We have played mostly Patsy's in non conference for our history. We have probably only had a handful of opportunities to even play a ranked non conf foe on the road.

We were the only team to beat Notre Dame in 1977 when the won a NC. That was in Jackson, MS though. To this day, Notre Dame will not play Ole Miss because of this.

And it would have been Texas last year if they hadn't gotten raped by BYU the week before

No. They probably would have been if they didn't get killed in their bowl game
