Many people here seem unable to differentiate between what ONE fan says and what ANOTHER fan says from the same fanbase. If BamaBenny says that we are going to sweep through our season without giving up a point, I am now on the hook whenever someone scores. If metrytiger says LSU has the best secondary in the conference, then every LSU fan gets ridiculed as soon as someone completes a pass.
A bunch of auburn fans were strutting around yesterday about how they were going to HUNH the wildcats into oblivion. This doesn't mean every auburn fan is now writhing in ridicule.
Seriously, though - how can anyone be here a week or longer and not realize they better have some leather-thick skin? Anyone with three brain cells should know that a win over a ranked team in their stadium across the country is good, no matter what the score. But I still plan to laugh at those aubs who were predicting a hurry-up holocaust at KSU last night.

It's much easier to paint with a broad brush and only remember the stupidest things that get said on here.

Some Bama fan killed trees, tea bagged a drunk LSU fan, killed his son, paid for suits, slapped his girlfriend, put too many stickers on his truck, dips, drinks too much and now all Bama fans kill tree, tea bag other fans, kill their sons, pay recruits, slap their girlfriends, place too many stickers on their trucks, dip/chew and drink too much.

Thinking the opinion that Auburn has question marks and isn't as great as advertised is an unreasonable one makes you less than reasonable as well. FWIW.

It's honestly human nature. Measured, moderate statements don't really catch one's attention unless they are especially thoughtful and salient. We are attracted to the colorful and incendiary. Boards like this make their bread and butter on the heated back and forth, mocking, trolling, etc. If every OP was four paragraphs of meaningful analysis followed up by a bunch of posts reading "that's very well put. It's worth considering", a lot of posters would drop off.
