Not the way I saw us winning, but Snyder showed he can create a hell of a game plan. He is one smart dude and I have always respected him.

We didn't look good in certain situations and got our butts kicked in some others.

Gus was wanting a good test for the team and he got one. Not sure we got a lot of answers to how good this team is, but they grinded out a win on the road against a ranked team. It will be interesting to see if it propels this team to make big strides or if we just aren't as good as we had hoped. Too early to say. LSU will be a better gauge imo.

Overall I am happy with our D this game. Reed showed out a little. He was aggressive and was on Lockett a few times like a glove. Hope he only gets better because I liked what I saw.

I will take this win and not even be mad at all, and I won't spend any more time criticizing play, coaching, refs, etc.

3-0 WDE

Still lacking some pass rush. Got some when we started blitzing in the 2nd half. Also hated how they were running the same route on third down and it shocked us every time. But as usual we played the bend but don't break defense. Looked improved overall on D tonight.

Offense struggled all night. But even though we struggled we had 359 yards. Marshall seemed to make some miss reads on the option tonight which is unusual. Pretty good passing performance from him if our WRs would catch the ball.

I thought the same thing. I have been watching the re-play on the U. KSU did a great job of not biting on the outside and forcing the runs inside. Our OL did a poor job of owning the LOS. Nick threw the ball very well for the most part. He had a few knocked down at the LOS, but he had very few poorly thrown balls tonight. It was a tough win, but a win nonetheless. That won't be our toughest opponent, so we must improve in many areas.

This game reminds me a lot of the MSU game in 2010. We laid an egg offensively and were out of sync, but we relied on a great defensive performance to grind out a win on the road. But let's not forget where we were at this point last year. We are miles ahead of that and will only get better and better.

Agree RMT

We will not win every game the same way. At time, we will have to adjust. We did. It was not a great performance but they did not fall to the crowd or the pressure of the road game.

We won the game on Marshalls arm. It was not perfect but it never will be. Nick Marshall is not going to be a great pocket passer but the coaches obviously trust him enough to put the game on him late and he did much better later in the game...

Im Ok with how things come out but there are obviously some areas to improve. Im actually proud of how the defense stood up later.

WDE and on to JHS for the next one

A win is a win, but we have work to do.

The KSU defensive line out played us.

Did Cade Foster transfer to KSU?

Our WRs need to catch every ball that hits them right in the hands. Duke is a big time player.

No more wildcat with Bray.

Ricardo Louis tried to kill us on the jet sweep by just not taking the handoff.

The WR #14 for KSU has sticky fingers and understands how to play Football.

Agree. We are not going to win every game the same. We will have to adjust at times. We did

Im not ready to say that until I rewatch the game. They stacked the box a bunch though

I think he did.

Big time player or not. Dude had a few drops last night. We have not seen this from him in the past. Sammie was off as well.

As long as Gus is our coach, we are just going to have to live with this insanity. It doesn't look like he is going to drop it

Who knows what happened. Looked like he didnt think he was getting it. Either way, that is on Marshall for not pulling it back in. Bray never even attempted to get it

Most of their receiver caught the ball. Only a few miscues. They came to play. We knew they would

Well after 3 years of wondering when he was going to start making the catches we expected to see from him when he signed he finally made a good catch. Never expected it to be from the defensive side of the ball though.

The game is behind us, close games early can be a good thing.

Did not come out focused which normally does not happen to Gus coaches teams.

Overall, proud of Nick and the Defense.

I'll give Snyder and his team some credit but the Gus bus never got out of 1st gear. I'm hoping it was a combination of the extra time off, weird (Thursday) timing of the game and the distance traveled. Also this was only the 3rd game of the season and the 1st road game against a ranked opponent. The timing and efficiency of the Malzahn offense should get better as the season progresses just like it did last year. It may not be as effective (without Prosch, Greg Robinson, and Mason) but I think it will be better than last night.

I'm not going to lie and say i was impressed, but I still feel like it was a comfortable win. Ever since the 2004 va tech game i've put a lot of stock into the notion that if they don't have the ball in the 4th quarter with a chance to win or tie, then it's really not that close, despite what the score says. How i feel about this one. Game was over early in the 4th.

When the score was 17-7, we punch it in and the score is 24-7 game over and no-one questions us.

If Duke catches that open pass, it would have been 31-7. Missed opportunities goes both ways, not just for KSU.
