I am familiar with guys who are called grinders in the gym. I am familiar with grinding out victories in football.

I have never referred to it as a process, and revered for that being the nature of the process.

Usually grinders, or grinding something out refers to perseverance, but you obviously wouldnt want to have to exist in that state for perpetuity.

Which brings me to my question on "the Grind" and MSU. Why do you hold dear this concept of "the Grind" as it relates to your football team? It seems antithetical to your claims that you expect to beat LSU...

tGrind is more of a state of mind. Your definition is a little off.

when one is in a state of constant adversity and coming from behind, one's only hope is that they can "grind" it out and one day be in a better place. so embracing it, is merely stating you will never reach that next level.

Is this what conclusion you are coming to?

Exactly.

If you are forever grinding, you have never achieved any level of success or dominance.

For example...When I hit a plateau, like just recently with my squat, I grinded out those workouts for a few weeks. I wasnt getting anywhere, I wasnt overcoming, or dominating the situation.

Then I was able to push past. My weights are going up again, and I am not grinding out my squat workouts.

You hit it on the head, this acceptance of "tGrind" seems to be tacit submission of MSU as the basement of the SECW for years to come.

Anthony "Boobie" Dixon had 252 yards against UK one night. When asked about it, he said that he was just grinding for his state.
